Where is the real zone diet?

The zone diet is a concept based on the best-selling books by Dr. Barry Sears “Enter the Zone” and “Mastering the Zone.” I witnessed the popularity of the zone diet explode while working with the zone diet delivery service. One of our top salesmen turned out to be a mob operative who stole our customer lists and trade secrets. The mobster, with connections to the Columbo crime family of New York needed a place to hide the money made from their “pump and dump” stock fraud scams.

Since legally the title “zone diet” could not be trademarked, the NY mafia decided to make knock off zone diet meals the same way fake Gucci handbags are made. One day our top salesman was gone and there was a new “zone” diet company called “zone chef’s.” Within two years the Columbo Crime family put us out of business.

The Columbo Crime family stole just about every original zone diet customer by offering discounts, claiming they were the “real” zone diet. They also went to the extent of following our drivers to find out the addresses of our newest customers. Since then dozens of fake “zone” diet companies emerged and nobody knows who the real zone diet is. The sad truth is that the zone diet is dead. The whole concept exploded and then imploded on itself. The original zone diet company who made nutrition bars was bought by a pharmaceutical company which doesn’t make sense at all. Why would a company that makes all it’s money on type II diabetes acquire a company that can cure type II diabetes? It's often the nature of large companies to buy their competition. Anyhow, there is no such thing as the zone diet anymore. I refuse to capitalize the word because there is no longer a specific zone diet. So the next time you hear someone mention the “zone diet,” ask them “which one?”
