Mind
Exercise It
is tough to find peace and quiet in such a fast paced
world where we are constantly fighting deadlines, getting
bombarded with advertisements and dealing with other people.
By giving yourself a little “quite time” each
day, you will strengthen your inner ability settle the
mind, which reacts best to situations while in a calm
state.
Quiet time only takes 10-15 minutes, twice per day—
once in the morning and once at night.
Since you are constantly making appointments with other
people, why not make an appointment with yourself every
day?
HOW TO CLEAR THE MIND
1. Find a quiet place.
A quiet place makes it easier to concentrate. Turn the
light off if you need to. The fewer distractions, the
better your focus will be. The trick is to shut out or
turn off all sensory inputs that you receive from the
outside world. |

| 2.
Get comfortable
Sit upright in a comfortable chair or lay down with
your back straight.
3. Relax and focus on
your breathing
As you relax, focus on your breathing and nothing else.
If you find yourself thinking about other things, gently
bring your focus back to your breath. This will create
silence in the mind and train the brain how to concentrate
on one thing at a time. It is not a coincidence many
of the best athletes in the world also practice some
form of daily mind exercise.
Yoga
as a Form of Mind Exercise
Any kind of movement that involves rhythmic breathing
and a steady posture counts as a form of mind exercise.
