Today there are more than 300 certifications available
to personal trainers and fitness professionals,
but only the 40/30/30 philosophy is based on studying
the physiological and psychological effects of
food. 40/30/30 Diet advocates are unique among
nutritionists in having the idea that the type
of calories you consume means everything. The
dietary ratio of proteins, carbohydrates and fats
cause specific hormonal responses which directly
predict and influence the overall metabolic state
of the body.
40/30/30 Nutrition refers to a way of eating that
contains approximately 40% carbohydrates, 30%
protein and 30% fat. Once you experience what
its like to be on the 40/30/30 Diet, you will
never look at food the same way again. Within
only a few days of starting the 40/30/30 Diet,
you will experience increased mental focus, greater
physical energy and decreased food cravings. These
benefits are mainly attributed to the intricate
connection between food and hormones
Just like there are three main religions (Christianity,
Judaism and Islam), there are 3 main philosophies
in the diet industry (high carb, moderate carb
and low carb), each having their own set of beliefs,
values and Holy books. A 40/30/30 balanced diet
is a remarkably effective eating program based
on the precise ratio of 40% carbohydrates, 30%

If
you want to learn about Christianity you must
see a priest, to learn about Judaism you must
see a Rabbi and so on. Similarly, each sect of
the diet industry have their own priests that
promote their particular style of eating. If you
want to learn about the high carb/low fat practices
and theories of the Food Guide Pyramid you must
see a Registered Dietician. To learn about Atkins
diet I guess you would have to read the book or
call an Atkin's customer service representative.

The 40/30/30 Culture
There are a handful of corporations who
make 40/30/30 nutrition bars and other products
(Balance Bar®, Zone Perfect® Bars, etc).
By contrast I specialize in teaching people how
to incorporate the 40/30/30 diet into their daily
life no matter what brand name is on their food.
"Give a man a nutrition bar and he has enough
food for a snack, teach a man how to follow a
40/30/30 diet and he has balanced meals for life!"
Please note there is at least one or more "zone"
diet companies who do not hold true to the original
decorum of the 40/30/30 philosophy. There is no
such thing as the zone diet because there are
so many of them. One in particular is funded by
the Columbo Mafia family. It's buyer beware when
it comes to the zone diet.
Dr. Sears, the man responsible for creating the
zone diet is retired in Florida after he sold
his stake in the Zone Perfect company. Dr. Sears
has since opened a zone diet bakery who makes
zone diet bread products and other processed foods
that come complete with spenda and gluten. In
order for the 40/30/30 concept to expand the industry
can not be contractually tied to bakery orders
in the case splenda and wheat turns out to be
as harmful as some say. If the quacks are correct
the 40/30/30 concept must remain malleable to
advance with society.
